Glenn A. Profit

Mr. Glenn A. Profit, age 72, passed away on May 29, 2026, in Danville, Illinois.

Born on August 18, 1953, in Clarksdale, Mississippi, Glenn lived life on his own terms and embraced each day with energy, independence, and purpose. He never met a stranger and possessed a remarkable gift for conversation. Whether speaking with a lifelong friend or someone he had just met, Glenn had a way of making people feel welcomed, valued, and appreciated. His ability to connect with others left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.

Glenn was always on the move. He rarely sat still and could always find somewhere to go, something to do, or someone to visit. Though his body had reached the age of 72, his spirit remained youthful. He approached life with determination, curiosity, and a sense of adventure that never faded.

A devoted father, proud grandfather, loving brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, Glenn deeply cherished his family. He never missed an opportunity to share photos of his daughters and grandchildren or speak proudly of their accomplishments. Family was one of the greatest joys of his life.

As the oldest child in his family, Glenn took great pride in being a big brother. He embraced that role with love, guidance, humor, and unwavering support. His siblings knew him not only as a brother but as someone who cared deeply about family and staying connected.

While he was not a member of a specific church, Glenn was a believer in Jesus Christ. His faith was reflected in the encouragement he gave to others, his positive outlook on life, and his desire to uplift those around him. 

In many ways, Glenn left this world exactly as he lived in it—actively and independently. On his final day, he got up, drove himself to a doctor's appointment and spent time walking around his apartment complex. He continued living life fully and on his own terms until the very end.

Glenn leaves to cherish his loving memory his daughters, LaTrice Profit-Roman of Dallas, Texas, and Jasmine Profit of Adelanto, California; God daughter Sara Luttrell of Washington, DC; his beloved grandchildren, Mario Roman and A'marie Roman; his siblings, JoAnn Keys, Jacqueline Tyler, Fannie (Joseph) Haywood, and Moses Nolan Jr., all of Danville, Illinois; Myra Nolan of Rome, Italy; and Janice Nolan of Baltimore, Maryland. He also leaves behind his best friend, Lawrence “Pop Daddy” Parker, along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Mignon Nolan and Tommie Profit; his brother, Lynn D. Profit; and his sister, Jimette White.

Though he will be greatly missed, Glenn's legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched with his kindness, conversations, encouragement, and love. His family finds comfort in knowing that he lived life fully, loved deeply, and remained true to himself until his final day.

A celebration of life will commence at 12:00 Noon Tuesday June 9, 2026 at Leek & Sons Funeral Home 304 E. Williams St. Danville. Eulogist: Latrice Roman. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am until the time of the service.
