Geraldine Nesbitt

Geraldine Nesbitt of Georgetown, IL passed away peacefully at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville, IL. She was born in Georgetown, IL on January 2, 1925. Geraldine was proceeded in death by her father, John Lawrence, mother, Leona Conel Lawrence, four brothers, June, Otis, Bill, and Albert, and sisters, Velma and Joyce, neices Annis, Beverly, Shirley, and Norma, and nephews Earl and John.
Geraldine was an outstanding student in Georgetown public schools. She subsequently graduated from Georgetown High School and married Joseph E Hill in 1944. They had one son, Joseph E Hill Jr. Over the years, she enjoyed working for the the Danville Sheriff's office and Danville Civil Defense.
Geraldine was baptized at an early age and pursued the study of Christianity for her entire life. She practiced her religion through her good deeds and her generosity towards others. She always demonstrated her love and devotion to her family through  her encouragement of their goals and dreams.
Geraldine leaves to cherish her memory a son, Joseph E Hill, Granddaughters, Janelle Hill and Jennifer Hill, Great Grandchildren, Tyrone Cunningham, Isaiah Parker, CaRon Hill, Tekiah Parker, and Amiyah Hill, Great Great Grandchildren, Kingston Cunningham, Malaya Cunningham, and Arielle Parker, a host of neices, nephews, cousins and friends. 
Geraldine's son, Joey Hill would like to encourage everyone to get the Covid19 vaccine in order to help stop the spread of this dangerous virus that took the life of his beloved Mother.

A Homegoing Celebration will commence at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday December 14, 2021 at Leek & Sons Funeral Home 304 E. Willliams St., Danville. Eulogist: Pastor Mac Arthur Pendleton. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am until the time of service. Burial will follow after at Georgetown Cemetery.
