Georgia Ann Noel, of Danville, Illinois, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2026, at the age of 89.
Georgia was born on January 27, 1937, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, to the late Johnny and Willie Mae Anderson. She lived a life marked by faith, love for her family, and quiet strength.
A member of Philadelphia Baptist Church, Georgia found comfort and joy in her faith throughout her life. She cherished spending time with her family and leaves behind a legacy that will continue through the generations.
She is survived by her children, Deborah Shaw, William (Daisy) Noel, Dawn Noel, and Deidra “Dee Dee” Noel; her sister, Annette McCall of New York; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Willie Mae Anderson; her brother, William A. Anderson; her grandson, Dustin Noel; and her great-grandson, Aiden Morris.
A graveside service celebrating Georgia's life will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Spring Hill Cemetery in Danville, IL. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate her life.
