Eric Lamont Johnson

Eric Lamont Johnson 49, of Indianapolis Indiana, was born on September 26, 1972 in Greenville, Mississippi and departed this life on March 16, 2022 at Community Hospital East Indianapolis Indiana. He was the son of Ora James and Sylvester Johnson.

He attended public school systems in Greensville, Mississippi. Eric Graduated from Greensville High School on June 1, 1990. He attended college at Mississippi Delta Community Junior College in Automotive Mechanics. He confessed in Christ at an early Age. He loved music, cars, and traveling.

Eric is survived by his mother Ora James (Raymond) Watson, father Sylvester (Burnetta) Johnson. A loving companion Sarah Childs. Sisters: Sylvia Johnson of Georgia , Lakesha (Michael) Conley of Louisville KY, Jillian Watson of Los Angeles CA, Brothers: Dante (Rebecca) Watson of Springfield IL, Jarhead Watson of Danville IL. and Anthony Moore of St. Louis MO. Three Sons: Anfernee Diggins, Devion Andrew of Greenville MS, Jakeem Johnson of Youngstown, OH. A beloved cousin Marva Alexander of Peoria IL, and a host of cousins, family and friends.

Eric is preceded in death by his grandmothers: Sophia M. Homer, Georgia N. Ewing Edingbough, and Tureather Watson. His grandfathers: Henry Homer and Sylvester Johnson. Aunts: Geraldine Owens and Ann Lou Scott. Uncles: Manuel Owens, Ricky Watson, and Timmie Watson. Cousins: ReAnna Danette Shares, Cortez Owens, Lashawnda Allen, and Patricia Owens. And a Son Joshua Jay Sean Johnson.

A Celebration of Life will commence at 12:00 Noon on Saturday April 2, 2022 at Leek & Sons Funeral Home 304 E. Williams St., Danville. Eulogist: Ricky Hoskins. A visitation will begin at 11:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow after at Springhill Cemetery.
