Eddie Floyd Campbell Sr

Eddie Floyd Campbell Sr ( Pops) was born December 14, 1957 Born to Eddie James Campbell Jr & Catherine Lee Campbell In Washington State. Eddie was the oldest of his siblings and the one to do what he wanted, when he wanted to do it. Eddie attended Champaign Central High School. Eddie loved football, basketball, and listening to music. His Favorite colors were orange and purple. God blessed Eddie with a wonderful singing voice but only few were blessed to hear it. Eddie loved his girls and told everyone he had to make sure they were good at all times.

Eddie loved telling his granddaughters he lived in the woods and they were crazy enough to believe him. He would always keep a dollar or two tucked away so when the girls asked he could give it to them. Eddie was excited when he was blessed with 5 great grandsons, he said 5 granddaughters was enough. Eddie is survived by two children Catherine (Nichole) Teague and Eddie Floyd Campbell-Lawrence Jr. One brother Darnell B Campbell. 5 Granddaughters Jezale (Troy) Carter, Brittany Teague, Leondria Perkins, Kamari Lawrence and Markiha Lawrence. Seven great grandchildren. His aunt Ceola Wilson and His Uncles Pastor James Lee and Jacob (JB) Lee and his best friend/brother Archie Pettigrew. 

Eddie was preceded in death by his Mother Catherine Lee Campbell, His Father Eddie J. Campbell Jr. His sister Betty E. Campbell and brother Victor M. Campbell and Maternal and Paternal grandparents.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday July 31, 2026 at Leek & Sons Funeral Home 1215 W. Bradley Ave. Urbana.
