Douglass Durrell Driver entered this world on February 9, 1993,to the parents of Theresa Baskin and James Driver. He gained his wings on November 15, 2023. Douglass leaves behind his contagious smile, loving memories, and kindred spirit.
Douglass was exceptionally talented. He was always working with his hands. He was a self-taught man. He taught himself to do anything he wanted to do. From working on cars to motorcycles and even homes. Douglass enjoyed fishing, spending time with family and listening to country music. Douggie was adventurous and fond of animals, especially dogs. He would be found drawing and engaged in many forms of art.
Douglass was a charismatic son, father, brother, uncle and friend. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother, Theresa Baskin-Bailey (Robbie); his father, James Driver (Martha); his children, Isis Kitchen, Alaya Driver, Exavier Ohara, and De'Michael Driver and step-daughter, JaquajaDeleon; six siblings, LeCourtenea Baskin, Sharon Baskin, James Driver, Tamela Baskin, Wendy Driver and Davonte Nesbitt; and, several cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, as well as, his beloved dog, Scar.
Douglass was preceded in death by his grandmother, Jeanette Baskin; grandfathers, John Thomas and James Driver; great-grandmother, Geneva Baskin; and, niece, Zhylaijah Driver.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon Saturday December 2, 2023 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Champaign. Pastor John Porter will officiate. Visitation will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the church.
