Dorothy Pinkton

Dorothy Pinkton 82 of Danville, passed this life at 5:47 a.m. Monday April 20, 2020. She was born in Warren, Ohio, the daughter of Roy and Era Hill Allen.

Dorothy loved her family and she was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church.

Dorothy leaves to cherish her memories six (6) daughters and one (1) son:

Freda (Douglas) McArthur, Lockport, Illinois, Penelope(David) Crockett, Danville, Priscilla Pinkton, Danville, Victoria (Donald) Thomas, Chicago, John Pinkton Jr., Danville, Vera Drew, Minneapolis, MN., Tijuana (Daryl) Joiner, Bolingbrook, Illinois., Three (3) sisters, one (1) brother

Mattie Gadson, Hammond Indiana, Geneva Washington, Danville, Virginia Shivers, Terre Haute, Indiana, Robert (Rose) Allen, Many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other friends and relatives.

Viewing will be held on April 28, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Leek & Sons Funeral Home, 304 E. Williams St., Danville.

DUE to COVID 19 regulations, we strongly advise ALL family members and friends who plan

to attend VIEWING to practice extreme precaution by wearing protective mask, gloves and practicing social distancing.  Please be considerate of others, as only ten people will be allowed inside the funeral Home at a time. There will be a private burial immediately following.
