Doris Ann Bostic, 66, passed from this earthly life on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at her home in Danville, Illinois.
Doris was born on July 19,1959, in Webb, Mississippi, as the first child of Leroy and Willie Robinson, and was briefly united in marriage to Alfred Bostic in 1982.
Doris graduated from Danville High School in 1977 and attended Danville Area Community College. She later joined the workforce, holding positions at General Electric, McLane Company, and as a dietary aide at Bowman Estates before facing health challenges.
Doris carried her faith with her throughout her life and believed in God’s Word. She enjoyed attending and supporting her family’s sporting events, watching her Lifetime movies and embracing life to the fullest. Affectionately known as “the life of the party,” Doris loved to dance and was happiest when surrounded by family and friends, proudly reminding everyone that she was “the oldest.”
Doris was preceded in death by her mother, Willie Robinson, and brother, Eric Robinson.
Doris leaves to cherish her memory her father, Leroy Robinson, of Danville, Illinois; her only son -Durrell (Tammy) Robinson of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Loving sisters: Diane (Orlando), Gail, Wendy, and Jill, all of Danville, Illinois; Devoted brothers: Leroy Jr. “Popeye” (Evonne), and Dennis (Dayna), both of Danville, Illinois, and Stacey (LaTashia) of Indianapolis, Indiana; Grandchildren: Anaiya, Isaiah, Teralyn, and Kaydence; Special cousins: Loretta Clark, Wanda Chestnut, and Barbara Chestnut; Special friend: Tyrone Wilson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends throughout Danville.
Services for Doris Ann Bostic will commence at 12:00 noon on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at -New Life Church of Faith, 1419 N. Bowman Ave., Danville, Illinois 61832. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Eulogist: Pastor Thomas Miller. Interment will take place at Springhill Cemetery.
