Deacon Donald Lillard 85, transitioned peacefully on May 30, 2020 at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center. He was born on July 26, 1934 in Danville, Illinois to Jessie and Lillian Render Lillard.
Deacon Lillard attended Danville Public Schools. He worded several jobs. He retired from Lauhoff Grain Company in 1995 after working there for 30 years.
On September 21, 1986, Donald married Claudia Wynn.
Deacon Lillard Joined the Israel of God’s Church in 1986. On August 27, 2000, he became an ordained deacon. He was a faithful and dedicated member of the Israel of God’s Church.
Donald was proceded in death by his parents, brothers, John, Eugene, Harold and Bobby Lillard and special son, James Pascal and a son, Donald Marc Lillard.
He leaves to cherish his wife, Claudia Lillard, two sons, Michael (Crystal) Lillard of Atlanta, Georgia and Keven Wynn of Danville. Two daughters, Donna J. Lillard of Danville, Illinois and Zekeya (Rev. Steven) Ewing of Terre Haute, Indiana. 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
A Private Homegoing Service that will be live streamed via Facebook will commence at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Leek & Sons Funeral Home 304 E. Williams St. Danville. Viewing will be from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2020 at the funeral home. Interment: Sanhill Memorial Park. Officiating: Pastor Jason Henton.
