Dollan Cummings, 28 of Normal, Illinois transitioned to his heavenly home at 10:28 a.m. on Monday, May 26, 2025 at his home.
Dollan was born on February 16. 1997 in Danville, Illinois to Shantale Cummings.He attended Bloomington/Normal and Danville public schools, and graduated from Danville High School in 2015. At DHS, Dollan participated in the orchestra where he played cello and bass. He attended Heartland Community College where he received his associate degree in 2019. While at Heartland, Dollan volunteered with Operation Blessings where he was able to help with hurricane disaster relief response in the Gulf region of the United States. He later graduated from the University of Phoenix in 2023, receiving a Bachelors Degree in Business. Prior to his death, Dollan was a few credits shy of receiving his Masters Degree in Business and Entrpreneurship.
Dollan had a zest and curiosity for life. He had a love for travelling, making music, graphic design and creating short films. Dollan also started an online support group called Melody Fam, which was designed to help people who were struggling with their mental health find hope and enjoyment through the love of music.
Dollan leaves behind his mother, Shantale Cummings, grandmother Lois Collier, both from Normal, Illinois, his father Joseph Primm from Champaign-Urbana, and uncles Quentin Cummings of Indianapolis, Indiana and Quincy Cummings of Huntersville, North Carolina. He also leaves behind a host of family and friends to cherish his memory.
A celebration of life will commence at noon, Saturday, June 7, 2025 at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Danville, IL. Visitation will begin at 11AM until the start of the service. Eulogist, Rev. Dr. Lucious Barber. Interment Atherton Cemetery.
