Deloris Luster, 81, of Danville went to be with her Heavenly Father and beloved husband, Sunday, February 7, 2021 @ 9:05am, peacefully, in the comfort of her home. Deloris, the daughter of Goldie and James Hoskins, was born on July 25, 1939 in Indianola, IL. Deloris married the love of her life, Alfred Luster on June 15,1991; he has since passed.
Deloris was a mother figure and granny to many. She was a faithful and dedicated member of the New Kingdom Christian Church where she served as a church mother. Her hobbies included reading the bible, going to church, cooking and spending time with her family. She adored her grandchildren, great grandchildren and looked forward to being a part of her great great grandchildren lives.
Deloris leaves to cherish her loving and sweet memory, eight children; six daughters: Carolyn (Truman) Keys, Vanessa Allen, Cathy Luster, Tina Jones Luster, Alfreda Luster, Donna (Nick) Patton; two sons: Ronald (Teri) Hoskins and Shon Luster; one living sister: Betty Ramsey and one living brother: James Hoskins Jr, 50 Grandchildren, 200 great grand and 35 great great grand, a host of nieces and nephews, many friends, beloved family members and a special niece Sandra Payne.
Deloris was preceded in death by her husband Alfred, her daughter Teresa Hoskins, her parents Goldie and James Hoskins, eight brothers and six sisters.
A celebration of life will commence at 1pm, Thursday, February 11, at Freedom Baptist Church, 811 Martin Street, Danville. Visitation will begin at 10am until the start of the service. Eulogist Pastor Mellissa Hooker. Interment Sanhill Memorial Park. Leek & Sons Funeral Home, Danville, in charge of arrangements.
