David Jackson transitioned from this life on November 18, 2023, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL. He was born on January 28, 1975, to Essie Jackson and Paul Jackson in Danville, IL.
David got his name from his God father, David Buford. He loved to spend time with his family and friends playing cards, fishing, doing roof and yard work, eating, and making people laugh.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother; five sisters, Polly (Robert) Jackson Smith of Hattiesburg, MS, Rose (Gary) of Varnado, LA, Edna (Marvin) Crider of Danville, IL, Barbara (Derrick) Crider of Ypsilanti, MI and Caffie Jackson of Danville, IL; one brother, Paul Jackson of Danville, IL; special friend, Lola; five God brothers that loved him as a brother; and, a host of nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts.
David was preceded in death by his father, Paul Jackson; grandmother, Annie Longino; two sisters, Vivian Jackson and Pasha Jackson; aunts and uncles; three nephews; and,one great nephew.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday December 1, 2023 at Saints Synagogue Church of God in Christ, 2605 E. Main St., Danville. Elder Tommie Reed will officiate.
