God has called one of His angels’ home. David Bussey, Jr., 69 (aka Flash) was called home on August 1, 2020. David was born September 2, 1950 in Abington, Pennsylvania and raised in Linconia a small suburb located in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. David the oldest of five children was the son of the late David Bussey, Sr. and Estella Louise Satterfield Bussey. David educated in the Bensalem School District and graduated from Bensalem High School in 1968. After high school David attended Bucks County Community College where he studied and trained in photography and videographer, to follow his passion in taking pictures of nature.
David was given the name Flash because of his style of fashion, his unique collection in smoking pipes and walking canes. David started immediately after high school working for Krispy Crème Donuts. David was employed at Hyster Yale in Pennsylvania and then moved to New Jersey when the company relocated him to North Carolina and then settling in Alvin, Illinois. David worked his way up through the company starting with the parts department and then from there finally as Customer Service Manager approving loans. In 2018 David retired after 43 years of service with the company.
Between his hectic schedule and taking care of his daughter, David loved photography and taking pictures of nature. So, if that wasn’t enough Kloe his Rottweiler occupied the rest of his time. David loved his family and often came back home to visit. When David’s mother was ill, he took her in and provided the care that she needed until her death.
As a private person David never said much but looks could tell the story. He often spent time with his aunt and uncle the late Howard and Pinkie Duncan just talking about life. David appreciated every minute with them.
David is survived by his beautiful daughter Shamyra Bussey; sisters, Ernestine Bussey, Aurora Colorado; Geraldine A. Bussey, Bensalem Pennsylvania; Estella Davis, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and one brother, Bruce Bussey, Frackville, Pennsylvania; three aunts, Shirley Rowlle, Atlanta, Georgia; Martha and Marie Harris, Bensalem, Pennsylvania and host of nieces, nephews, and many cousins who loved him dearly.
