Cynthia Y. Young

Cynthia Y. Young 64, of Champaign Illinois passed this life on Sunday November 20, 2022 surrounded by her loved ones. Cynthia was born on  August 30, 1958 to the late Andrew and Mary Young.

Cindy attended Parkland College where she obtained a Bachelors Degree and then began working as a Registered Nurse. Cynthia worked 30 years at Carle Foundation Hospital where she enjoyed working as a nurse. She was well loved and respected by her co workers and patients.

Cynthia is survived by two children Angela Young and A'aron Young, one uncle Ronald Blakey, seven grand children, and seven great grandchildren.

Cynthia was preceded in death by two brothers Andrew Young and Anthony Young.


A Celebration of Life will commence at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday November 29, 2022 at Leek & Sons Funeral Home 1215 W. Bradley Ave., Urbana. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am until the time of the service. Eulogist: Pastor Thomas W. Miller. Burial will be held at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
