Clayvonte Jr. was born on March 22, 2005 to Tabreecia (Mula) Rice and Clayvonte Sloan, Sr. in Danville IL. He parted this earthly life on January 17th, 2021. Clayvonte was a former student at Rantoul High School. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends and family, listening to music, playing sports and he was a great dancer.
Clayvonte was a “Beast” on the football field and wrestling mat. He was a former star of the “Lion Heart” wrestling club and Carver Park Bears Youth League football team.
Clayvonte was a respectful young man, it was almost a guarantee when you saw him, he would have that contagious smile on his face. He loved and adored his family and friends. Clays favorite thing to do was flirt with girls and he dreamed of being a professional football player.
Clayvonte leaves behind to mourn his loving parents, his three sisters: Jontavia Jones, Camryen Sloan and Cyniah Sloan, his three brothers: Claydeonte Sloan, Cannon Sloan, and Darius Platt, Jr, a special cousin/brother Nazir McCoy. Many Uncles and Aunts, and numerous cousins, special mentor Marlon “CD” Coleman, his godparents Pilo & Gloria Perez, his his Big Godbrother Miklo Strader and their family, as well as many family members and friends.
Clayvonte was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandmother Janet Mullins, his Paternal Grandfather Curtis Sloan, a special cousin Dereyon Mullins, Paternal Uncle Bert Newsome & a host of family members and friends waiting with open arms for Our Clay.
A public viewing will be held on Monday January 25, 2021 at 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Leek & Sons Funeral Home 304 E. Williams St., Danville
