Claude Richard McKissack, Jr. was born on May 1, 1978, to Karen Jones-McKissack and the late Claude Richard McKissack, Sr.
Claude was the life of the party. People loved Him. His presence was unmatched. Claude loved His family more than anything in the world and always ensured we were okay. Claude was loved by so many and really shook us up with this one. He was a character like no other.
Claude attended Greater Shiloh Baptist Church when he was younger. He didn't attend church in his older years, but he had a wonderful relationship with God. He attended Danville High School and later DACC where he received his certificate in Wind Turbine Repair. Due to an injury, he had to drop out but that didn't stop his greatness.
Claude was an avid Bowler and a Phenomenal Fisherman. Claude also helped his first cousin, Dusty (David Duncan), on his food truck, "Lowlife Kitchen".
Claude was preceded in death by his father, Claude Richard McKissack Sr.; uncles, Gregory Duncan (Shirley) and Albert Isaac (Wendy); aunt, Joyce Wilks; three cousins, Edward Wilsa, Ramona Duncan, and Vincent Hillsman (Cuz2Da).
Claude leaves to cherish his memory five sons, Claude Richard McKissack III, Caide and Keevyn McCoy, and Kai and Mason Montalongo; one daughter, Kinsley McCoy ("Keke Da Don"); his beloved mother, Karen Jones-McKissack; four sisters, Deshawn McKissack (His favorite), Kimberli McKissack (Aryah), Sharon Taylor and Karen Westland; five brothers, Robert Adams, Myron Adams, Corey Adams, Danny Adams and Darius (Sonya) Brandon; his love, Jenifer McCoy; a special aunt and uncle, Gale and Ricky Hardimon; two cousins, Van (LaQuita) Hardimon, and Vinson Hardimon; two very special cousins, David (Tanish) Duncan, and Eric Duncan; three Best Friends, James Williams, Edward Phillpot and Dante Thomas (CatFish); and, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
