Christopher Smalls was born October 29, 1989, to Lukresia Smalls and Damon Rowell. CJ as he was lovingly called by people he knew and did know.
CJ spent his early childhood years playing baseball alongside his friends and cousins (Quinn, Ashtyn, and Jaron), while being coached by his Uncle Tony Williams and Grandfather Nate "Bobo" Smalls. CJ was part of a cultivating team that won many games played at Prairie Farm Park.
CJ attended and graduated Danville High School. He also was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church where he served on the Pantry Committee every Thursday to help give back to the community.
