Christopher B. Kelly was born on September 26, 1996 in Urbana, Illinois to Yvonne A. Kelly and Walter Lee Jones Jr.
Christopher started his education in the Rantoul City school district. He played at the youth center and participated in the community baseball and basketball programs for many years. He loved playing basketball and always thought he should have been in the NBA. He fought hard to receive his diploma from Urbana High school and his mother made sure that that goal was achieved.
Christopher, affectionately known as Stuff by family, Mississippi or Fat Folks by friends, and Duke by his mama was always known to crack jokes and make sure him and his daughter always looked like twins. He made sure her fly always matched his fly.
His outgoing personality and strong mind always made people laugh and smile. His love for his family could not be questioned. Christopher loved his family but his greatest loves were his daughter Ca’Nylah and the anticipated birth of his namesake.
Christopher leaves to cherish his memory; his loving mother and his ace Yvonne Kelly (Martell), his father Walter Jones. His brother Corey Kelly. His daughter, Ca’Nylah. His maternal grandparents; Robert and Samella Kelly. His aunt Yvette Bell (Bobby), and cousins Andrea and Andre Bell of Sanford, FL. His paternal aunts and uncle; Joyce Jones and Stevie Jones of Rantoul, Linda Jones and Joan (Mark) Motton of Champaign, IL. His nieces, nephews, a host of cousins, friends, his partner Tyesha Candler and his best friend Terray Keel.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Wilma Jones.
Christopher’s earthly presence will be missed but he now has a new beginning in Christ. You are now at peace and no longer in this turmoil on earth.
