Our beloved Charles A. Adams began his earthly journey on April 29, 1922 to the union of Charlie and Fannie Adams in Cedar Grove, Tennessee. Charles was married to Marie Adams for many years.

Charles was known by his family as being a great loving father and a wonderful  provider.  He loved electronics, working on cars, fishing, traveling and taking walks.  His favorite thing to say was “Blessed anyway you look at it”.

Charles was employed for 38 years at the University of Illinois Illini Union. He was known by everyone for his kindness, wonderful heart and service to humanity. In addition, Charles achieved many great milestones during his life, such as attending Parkland Community College where he received his G.E.D.  Charles was a Veteran of World War II, Member of the NAACP and Member of the American Legion Post 559.

Charles reinforced two main life principles to his family and friends and they were his Faith in God and Community Service Involvement.
