Calvin Roy Cowen Jr.

Calvin Roy "C-Roy" Cowen Jr. was called home to glory at the young age of 30 years old on June 30, 2014 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois.
Calvin was born November 29, 1983, in Danville, IL. He was one of 6 children born to Shelly Boose (Shell Mae) and the late Calvin Roy "Big Fist" Cowen Sr. Calvin Loved spending time with his children and his siblings, whether playing spades, Xbox, or just laughing and joking he took the time to spread his love with all. He considered himself "The Jordan King" he loved collecting shoes and styling in his clothes, he always wanted the best and strive to have the best of whatever.
Calvin leaves to cherish, his granparents Pinkie and Cloanger of Danville, his mother Shelly (Ricky) of Danville, 2 daughters Alexis, and Ronnesha of Champaign, 2 sons, Damarius of Forth Wayne & Calvin (CJ) of Champaign, 3 sisters Tashuna and Claudine(Javon) both of Danville and Olivia of Champaign. 2 brothers Chris of Danville and Chad of Potomac, 2 special cousins Calvin (C-Man) and Talicia (T-Duck). Two special friends Rayland (Ray Ray), and Dontae (Fish), along with 8 Nephews, 8 Nieces, 3 great nephews, and 1 great niece. He was proceeded in death by his Father and Paternal Grandparents.
A Homegoing service will commence at 12:00 noon Thursday July 10, 2014 at New Life Church of Faith 1419 N. Bowman Ave. Visitation will be from 11:00am. until the time of the service. Viewing will be from 1 to 5pm. Wednesday July 9, 2014 at Leek & Sons Funeral Home 304 E. Williams St. Officiating: Pastor Christopher Cowen. Interment will be at Sanhill Memorial Park.
