Belinda Forrest was called home on June 4, 2025. She was born Belinda Ingram to Eleanora Ingram and Floyd Walker. She was the fourth born of five siblings. Her family home was filled with love, strong, faith, and family connections.
Belinda lived a full and energetic life being born and raised in Chicago Illinois. Belinda knew and received Christ in her life at an early age. Her strong unwavering faith in Christ was her guiding compass in life. Her zeal and natural enthusiasm for life made her a free spirit who was always ready for a new adventure.
She met her friend and love her life Kelvin Forrest as a young girl in church and the two will later we in a simple ceremony on June 20, 1986 and remain married until her passing. Belinda and Calvin were blessed to have three children Kenyhatta Ingram Rocha, Kelvin Maurice Forrest, and Ramone Delvin Forrest.
Belinda believe that life was full of exciting possibilities and was always eager to try new things. In early adulthood, she enjoyed working and caring for others as a patient care technician in the medical field. She later moved to Urbana, Illinois, where her life continue to flourish, and she accepted a new and fulfilling career in the hospitality industry as a supervisor for a leading hotel chain.
Belinda enjoyed every aspect of life, yet it was the little things that embodied exactly who she was as a person. She was a skilled and soulful cook, often being requested to make her famous spaghetti. She found great pleasure in planting and gardening. Belinda earned the title as an adventurer, because she was always on the move. She worked tirelessly for the service of others and garnered immense delight with no complaints whenever someone was in need.
She leaves to cherish her memory : her devoted husband, Kelvin Forrest, (2) Children Ramone Forrest, Kenyhatta Ingram Rocha (Robert Rocha), (5) Grandchildren Alisia S. Rocha, Jaleel S. Rocha, Nikkiah S. Rocha, Iziah Forrest, Zariah S. Rocha, (3) great grand children SirRoyal Love, Serenity Rocha, and Essence Rocha, mother Eleanora Howard and eldest sister Christina Rees and a loving host of adored nieces, nephews, and good friends.
She is preceded in death by her son Kelvin, Maurice Forrest. Her sister Stacy Sanders, brother Frederick Howard, and father Willie Howard.
A celebration of life will commence at 12:00 Noon Saturday June 14, 2025 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 1601 W. Bloomington Road, Champaign. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am until the time of service.
