With profound sadness we announce the passing of AnnaMary (Greenwood) Wanza, our loving and devoted sister, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to all whose lives she touched.
She left us in her sleep while being treated at OSF Heart of Mary Medical Center on November 14th, 2020. She was in her 69th year.
Born in Danville, Illinois to the parents of Oliver & Margaret Greenwood, AnnaMary loved to sing and take care of those she surrounded.
Anna lived a full life as a wonderful mother, homemaker and spent years working in the retail and manufacturing sector. As a child she grew up attending Allen Chapel A.M.E church and as an adult she was a current and active member of Second Baptist Church
She was the beloved sister of Barbara Greenwood and the mother of Joc’Queline (Thomas) Williams, Jennifer Bean, Christopher (Jamilla) Wanza, and Jason (Bethany) Wanza. She was a proud aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Anna is predeceased in death by her parents, sisters; Andrea and Beverly, brothers; Henry, Peter, Michael and Oliver and two children Jeanette and Randy.
A public viewing will be held 3-6PM Wednesday, November 18, 2020. Private Service 11:00AM on Thursday, November 19, 2020. Burial; Athertons Cemetery. Officiating; Rev. Calvin C. Rice.
