Alina Diaz Cardoza Obituary

Alina D. Diaz Cardoza, 60, of Danville, passed away May 14, 2022 at 5:30pm, at Arcadia Care in Danville. 

She was born to Dulce Diaz and the late Angel Diaz, November 16, 1961, in Havana, Cuba. 

She met Juan Chavira in 1993. They enjoyed dancing, cooking, and raising their children together. 

Alina is survived by six children: Alejandro Cardoza, Jonathan Cardoza, Krista Chavira, Amanda Chavira, Eliana Chavira, and Alonzo Chavira. She is also survived by her ten grandchildren Issac, Angelina, Adrianna, Roman, Nataliya, Alejandro, Alex, Elias, Kesean, and Symone. She is also survived by her brother, David Diaz.

Alina’s hobbies included: reading, writing, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her children. She was a beautiful soul inside and out. She was a caring neighbor, friend, and mother. Alina was immensely proud of her children and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. Her love and devotion to her family lives on through her children. 

A Celebration of life will commence at 12:00 noon on Tuesday May 24, 2022 at Leek & Sons Funeral Home 304 E. Williams St., Danville. A visitation will begin at 11:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow after at Sunset Memorial Park.
