Alfonzo Michel Mason transitioned his life on September 30, 2022. Alfonzo was born to Peggy Sloan Mason & Frank Mason, Sr., on September 13, 1967, in Kenosha, WI. He obtained his GED from DACC. On July 3, 2011, he married Yulanda Bailey, they were inseparable ever since.
Alfonzo enjoyed his family and friends, he loved to bar-b-que, play chess, take pictures, and to listen to all kinds of music, but he was crazy about “Prince”. He was good with his hands from simple mechanics to carpentry, there was nothing he couldn’t fix. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. His favorite team was the Chicago Bears.
Alfonzo leaves his great memories to his family; his wife; Yulanda, his father; Frank (Phyllis) Mason, Sr. Children; Aviyah (Daniel) Isreal, Alisha Mason, Miche’l Jenkins, Jadeana McGee, Kala McGee, and Janeisa McGee, along with two bonus sons; JarRameeRedmon and Serrandon Redmon.
His brothers and sister; David Burke, Earnie (Alisha) Burke, Frank Mason, Jr., Bridgett Burke, Robert Mason, Aaron Mason, Leon Mason, and John Mason.
Alfonzo held a special bond with Deresha Mullins and children, Veronica Haywood, Derrick Mullins, and the late Deryon Mullins. He also helped raise some of his grandchildren Ta’Nieyah, Getavion, Jabryah, Jazyah, Azariah and Tramaine. Also, a host of grandchildren and one great grandson.
Alfonzo was preceded in death by his mother; Peggy Sloan Mason, paternal grandparents; Everett and Deloris Mason, maternal grandparents; Clifford and Jeanette Sloan.
