Marcus Shawn Lisby 37 of Danville, IL went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 29, 2019, at his home.
Marcus was born on April 4, 1982, to parents Henrietta Lisby and Timothy Mason. He attended Danville school and received his diploma from Danville High School. Marcus also attended Danville Area Community College.
Marcus enjoyed his family, working with electronics, being an all-around handyman, and watching the Miami Heat. Marcus loved his children, he enjoyed spending time with his Grandpa Henry and joking around with his sister Mya.
Marcus was known for his smile and sense of humor.
Marcus leaves to honor in his memory his sons, Marcus and Marcel Lisby of Danville, IL; his mother, Henrietta (Ronald) Hunter of Danville, IL; his father, Timothy(Stephanie) Mason of Clarksville, TN; his sisters Mya Hunter of Bloomington, IL; Anieka (Davion) Carter of Danville, IL; step-siblings TaNesha Green and Demarcus Taylor of Clarksville, TN; his maternal grandfather Henry Lisby of Danville, IL and paternal grandfather Everett (Virginia) Mason of San Antonio, TX; his Aunts Cheryl Shields of Indianapolis, IN; Monica (Diamond) Nichols and Analisa Mason of San Antonio, TX; Uncles Michael (Vivian) and David Shields of Racine, WI; and Everett (Lois) Mason of Clarksville, TN.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Delores (Shields) Savage and paternal grandmother, Bonnie Mason; maternal great grandparents Marietta and Buford Shields, Onie Hardy and George Lisby; paternal great grandparents Everett and Delores Mason and Katherine Street; Aunt Janice (Shields) Moore and Uncles Lester Shields and Robert Mason.
Homegoing services will commence at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at New Life Church of Faith, 1419 N. Bowman Avenue, Danville, Illinois. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until time of the service. Pastor Darrell Hunter, Officiant, Pastor Thomas Miller, Eulogist. Interment will be at Spring Hill Cemetery. A public viewing will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Friday December 6, 2019 at Leek & Sons Funeral Home, 304 E. Williams St.
