Faye Awana Hill passed this life on Friday, December 13, 2019
at Gardenview Manor nursing home.
Faye was the 5th of 6 children born to the late Pink and Minnie (Clemmons)
Hill. Faye was born on April 1, 1937 in Leland Miss.The family moved to Danville Ill., where she attended Jackson school. Washington school,
and graduated from Danville high school.The DAY after graduation, Faye moved to Chicago Ill. She was formerly married to J ("slim") Bordon of
Chicago. Faye's hobbies were crocheting quilts and playing the piano.
Faye worked as a CNS at Oak forest Hospital, Oak forest Ill. from where
she also retired.
Faye was a member of the abounding life Church of God in Christ in
Posen Ill. where she served on the usher board under the leadership of the late Elder James Adams.
Faye adopted and raised 2 sons. Twan (Lakeitha) of Bedford, Texas, and
Lance (Cindy)Hill of Chicago.
She was proceeded in death by 1 sister (Rose Gordon) and 1 brother
(Leroy) Hill. She leaves to cherish her memory 2 sisters, Daisy Piggies of
alsip ill. Pinkye Sardgon of Danville and Edgar (Gloria) Hill also of Danville along with a host of cousins, nephews ,nieces and friends.
A Celebration of Life will commence Thursday December 19,2019 at Saint Synagogue C.O.G.I.C. 2605 E. Main St. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Officiating: Elder Tommie Reed. Internment will be at Sanhill Memorial Park. Leek & Sons Funeral Home, 304 E. Williams St. is in charge of arrangement.
