Elde Cooper Obituary

God the creator and maker of all things forgiver of all things called to rest Elde Cooper on Tuesday September 10th 2019. Elde was born on December 4th 1951. In Steele, MO to the union of Jamerson and Aline Cooper. He sang in the youth choir. He was a meme we of Robinson Chappel Missionary Baptist Church in Steele, MO. He joined the Marines and finished his education. He spent 4 years and then he joined the army where he spent for more years. When he left the military he moved back to Chicago where he gota job as an iron worker. He helped build the sears tower and several other projects. A a few years later he moved to California where he met the love of his life Betty. They got married and moved to Houston Texas. He worked as a merchant marine on ocean for many years Elde leaves to cherish memories his wife Betty Cooper, three sisters Estelle Cooper of Champaign Illinois, Ann and Myrtle Cooper of Rockford Illinois. Three brothers Odie and RB Cooper of Champaign Illinois. And Jimmy Cooper of Chicago Illinois. Two uncles Bert Saxton of Los Angeles, California and Ben Saxton of Mayfield, Kentucky. One Aunt Johnnie B. Saxton. He also leaves behind a host of nieces nephews and cousins. He joined Universal Church in Houston, Texas where he resided.

Elde was a fun person and his jokes and laughed will truly be missed. Rest In Peace gone but not forgotten

Services will take place at 12:00 Noon on September 21, 2019 at Leek and Sons Funeral Home 1215 W. Bradley, Urbana. Visitaion at 11 A.M.
