Della Stewart Obituary

Della Inarae Stewart passed this life at 8:46 November 19, 2010. Della was born on January 13, 1941 to Pauline Dixon and Robert Brown in Chicago, IL. Della was introduced to the lord at an early age. Della worked for several years as a CNA and at East Park School. During her spare time, she enjoyed reading the Bible, cooking, fishing, hunting and horseback riding. Della was united in Holy Matrimony to Richard Stewart on January 30, 1956. He survives. To this union three sons and six daughters were born: Rhonda (John) Crider of Rantoul, Renetta Stewart, Rosha (Derek) Hightower, Roger Stewart all of Danville, Rayhanah (Ray) Mays, Richarda (James) Jackson, Rita (Vynce) Whitfield and Richard (Retricia) Stewart all of Atlanta, Georgia. Della was blessed with 32 grandchildren, 56 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Also surviving, her mother: Pauline Severado, her siblings: Lester (Brenda) Brown of Danville, Larry (AnnaMae) Brown of Georgetown, Wayne Brown of Georgetown, Marisellis (Susan) Brown of Danville, James (Verrane) Young of Terre Haute, Theodore (Kelly) Severado of Arlington, Texas, Michael (Diane) Severado of Des Moines, Iowa, Janice Brown-Washington of Danville, Leoda (Rose) Brown-Wilkins of Danville, Forgenia Arlene (Charles) Smith of Danville, Kay Young of Georgetown, Peggy Rodgers of Los Angeles, Ann Severado of Danville and Roslyn Taylor Brown-Gray of St. Louis, MO. Della was preceded in death by: her father: Robert Brown, son: Ricko Stewart and a daughter: Roma Stewart.
A celebration of life will commence at 11:00am Wednesday November 24, 2010 at New Life Church of Faith 1419 N. Bowman Ave, Danville. Visitation will begin at 10am until the time of the service. Viewing will commence from 1-5pm Tuesday November 23, 2010 at Leek & Sons Funeral Home 304 East Williams Street, Danville. Officiating: Elder James Jackson. Interment: Sanhill Memorial Park.
