Vickie Bryant Obituary

Vickie Lynn (Withers) Bryant was born September 22, 1950 in Danville, Illinois to Julius and Hestaline (Thompson) Withers. Vickie married Columbus Bryant on November 9, 1973. He survives. She is also survived by her children: Jeffrey Bryant, Ciana Bryant, and Iesha Bryant of Danville, Illinois, Jason (Rogina) Bryant of Gallatin, Tennessee, Mary Bryant of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Colette (Sammy) Brown of Dallas, Texas; 21 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; siblings: Larry Withers, Roy Withers, Gary Withers of Danville, a special friend Anna Morris and a host of family and friends.

Vickie graduated from Danville High School and pursued a degree in Business from Danville Junior College. She worked for many years at The Children’s Home, Anchor Hocking, and the Community Action Agency. Vickie’s passion was ministering to the lost. She was a faithful member and Sunday School Teacher at Victory Temple COGIC. She later united and served at Christian Center of Hope. Her hobbies were yard sales and Yahtzee. She was very competitive in Scrabble and 1500.

Vickie L. Bryant transitioned from this life at 1’pm November 17, 2017 at Carle Foundation Hospital.

Vickie was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her mother and father-in-law, a sister and 2 sons Michael Bryant and Derrick Bryant.

Funeral Services will commence at 12’noon Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Leek & Sons Funeral Home 304 East Williams Street, Danville. Visitation will begin at 11’am until the start of the service.
