Katherleen Huff

Katherleen (Carol) Huff transition to heaven on November 3, 2017 at CU Regional Rehab in Savoy, Il.
She was born on January 22, 1922 to Cary McGee and Rena Lewis McGee in Puckett, MS.
Katherleen accepted Christ at the age of twelve where her relationship with the Lord began.

Katherleen joined Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist church under leadership of Rev. J.E. Graves.

She is survived by three sons: Jesse of Urbana, Dewey of Sheridan and Sammy of Springfield. Two daughters: Oneda (Lenest) of Champaign and Joyce (Eligio) of Sacramento, CA. Also, three sisters: Arvella McGee, Lillie McGee and Wila Manning, Seventeen grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was employed as cook for more than twenty years at Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority. Katherleen enjoyed cooking for family and friends. Her hobby was playing bingo and watching soap opera's.

Katherleen was preceded in death by her husband Sam; her parents, Sons: Bobby and Steve, Daughter: Mary Louise, Sisters: Lillian Jeffrey, Hazel McGee, Novella Barron, Myrtle Campbell, Rena Hemphill and one brother J.C. McGee.

A Home-going celebration will commence at noon, Saturday, November 11, 2017, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 808 E. Bradley, Champaign. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Eulogist: Pastor Keith Thomas. Interment will be at the Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Leek & Sons Funeral Home, 1215 W. Bradley Ave, Urbana, is in charge of arrangements.
