Dorothy Dean Chapman

Dorothy Chapman passed this life peacefully on Thursday November 16th, 2017 at 1:27 pm. in the comfort of her home.

Dorothy was born March 9th, 1936 in Goodwater, AL.

She married the love of her life Thomas “Tommy” Chapman in Alabama.

She was proceeded in death by her mother Mozelle Sturkie, and husband Thomas “Tommy” Chapman, brothers Willis Wilson Jr. and Lawrence Sturkie.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory: father Dymond Sturkie, and brother John Wilson, sister Margie Sturkie all of Milwaukee, WI. Five children Donald Chapman and Brenda (Leroy) Adams both of Danville, IL, Jeff (Narita Kay) Chapman and Veronica (Danny)Finkley of Atlanta, GA, and Thomas Chapman of Dallas, TX. A host of grand kids, great grands and great-great grand kids, nieces and nephews and cousins. Her special sister-in-laws, Jerrie Chapman, Alberta Joyner, Lena Marbury, Willie Marbury.

A Homegoing Celebration will commence at 12:00 noon Tuesday November 21, 2017 at The Assembly of God, 428 N. Walnut. Visitation will be from 11:00 am. until the time of the service.

Officiating: Pastor Ryan Harris. Interment will be at Spring Hill Cemetery. Leek & Sons Funeral Home, 304 E. Williams St. in charge of arrangements.
