William (Billy) Fields Jr.

William Fields, Jr., 73, took his eternal rest on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at Goldwater Care Danville.

William (Billy) was born on December 3, 1950, in Danville, IL to the late William Fields, Sr. and the late Marca Lee (Hooser) Fields. He attended Danville School District #118 Schools.

As a child, Billy was baptized at Second Baptist Church. 

He worked for WorkSource for 15 years.  

His hobbies were knitting, crocheting and bowling.

Billy leaves to cherish his memory siblings, Jacqueline Fields Desai, Marvin (Faye) Fields, Carolyn (John) Fields Smith, Cecelia Fields Capers, Christine Fields Harris and Taffy Fields Williams; special friends, Nancy Norenburg and Bob Kirby; nine nephews; six nieces; and, a host of great nieces, great nephews and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Christopher Fields; and, brother-in-law, Vatsal.

A celebration of life will commence at 12:00 Noon Friday March 15, 2024 at New Life Church of Faith, 1419 N. Bowman Ave., Danville. Pastor Thomas W. Miller will officiate. A visitation will begin at 11:00 am until the time of the service.
