Paul Jackson Jr., 58, of Danville, Illinois, transitioned from this life on February 24, 2024, at the University of Chicago Hospital. Paul was born on October 1,1965, to his loving mother, Essie M. Walton, and father, Paul Jackson, Sr., in Prentiss, Mississippi.
Paul attended Danville High School and graduated in 1984.
Paul’s hobbies were his cars. He was known as a mechanic and detailer. He enjoyed fishing, WWE, and football games. He loved playing cards, playing his oldies music, working on different things, being with family and friends, and making people laugh at his jokes.
Paul was married to LA'Wanda Williams.
He leaves to cherish his memory: mother, Essie M Walton; daughters, Deborah Johnson, Angela McDonald, Wanda Cunningham, La’Toya Williams, Roselyn (Jason) Tools, Aalyhia Tiggs, Diamond Tiggs and Dominique Newsome; sons, Tavion Williams, Zachary Finch II and Adriand Newsome; 14 grandchildren, Tavion Williams, Jr., Zayden Williams, DA'Nyha Lucas, Made'lyn Williams, Joshua Anderson III, Benjamin Cathey, Carlo Williams Jr., Jaw'Dayjha McClyde, Jaz-meon McClyde, Ivanae Darnell, My'Saan Young, Ariyah Finch, Zyion Johnson and Zharion Patrick; five sisters, Polly (Robert) Jackson-Smith of Hattiesburg, MS, Rose Gary of Varnado, LA, Edna (Marvin) Crider of Danville, IL, Barbara (Derrick) Crider of Ypsilanti, MI and Caffie Jackson of Danville, IL; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, and friends.
Paul was preceded in death by his father, Paul Jackson, Sr.; maternal and paternal grandparents; grandmother, Annie Longino; two sisters, Vivian Jackson and Pasha Jackson; brother, David Jackson; grandson, Da'Von Lucas; Stepfather, James Walton; three nephews, Micheal Crider, Marvin Crider Jr. and Ta'wton Jackson; and several aunts and uncles.
A celebration of life will commence at 12:00 Noon Saturday March 9, 2024 at St. Synagogue Church of God in Christ 2605 E. Main Street, Danville, IL 61832 Eulogist: Pastor Tommie Reed. A visitation will begin at 11:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow after at Sanhill Memorial Park.
