Anna Morris Obituary

Anna L. Morris 75 of Danville, IL. Passed this life at 8:43 p.m. Friday, March 29, 2024 at her residence surrounded by loved ones.

Anna was born March 16, 1949, in Danville IL, the daughter of Aaron Pearl Sr.  and Ida F. Richards. Anna was married to Willie Allen Morris on March 28, 1968 in Danville IL. He preceded her in death. She remained a widow until her and Buddyboy were united again in heaven. Anna attended Danville Schools. Then went to be a certified nursing assistant. She worked at Danville Manor as a c.n.a and also as a dietary aide. Where she retired from.

Anna was a faithful member of New Birth Church of God In Christ. Anna was on the Mother’s Board and also she designated herself on the hospitality board. Every year she sent out birthday cards, Christmas cards, etc to everyone.

Anna also visited the sick and shut in. She would cook ,visit and spend time at peoples homes, the nursing homes, hospitals or wherever she could be a servant. She would assist with transportation in her green malibu that she called her Green Hornet. She loved the Lord she spent time studying God’s word.  Anna also enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. When Anna met people she would welcome them in her life as family. Anna would make sure she would spread the word of God with everyone. Anna was a true servant of the Lord.

Anna leaves to cherish her memory with her four daughters Clarissa(Chucky) Cooper, Sheila Morris, Suzanne (Chris) Grant, and Cassandra Batchelor (Morris) all of Danville. She has 19 grandkids, 47 great grandchildren. 2 brothers Aaron Pearl of Danville, IL. Charles White of Johnstown P.A., 3 sister in laws Betty Morris, Dorothy Laster, Delphinia (Finnie) Glover, Earline Rodgers of Milwaukee WI., beloved best friends Shirley Glenn, Dorothy Townsend, Ruby Coleman, and Sandy Merriweather, a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, step mother,father, husband, a brother, a son, in laws Leroy & Freddie Morris, special friends Madell Scott, Bonnie Gaston, Belva Wright, & Dorothy Brown.


A celebration of life will commence at 12:00 noon Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at New Life Church of Faith 1419 N. Bowman Ave., Danville. Eulogist: Elder Clyde Jones. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will follow after in Spring  Hill Cemetery.
